A brief history of Black Tie

FOR THE MEN

A jacket with silk facings known as the dinner jacket

Trousers with silk braids matching lapels

Black cummerbund

A white wing tip collar dress shirt with pleated front

Usually black dress silk socks

Black shoes in patent leather

FOR THE LADIES

Women are not limited to any colour.

A black tie evening affair calls for ladies to wear long floor length gowns and ball gowns.

However if you have a knee length dress that you see as formal you are more than welcome to wear it.

Ladies, this is your chance to dress up!

Phil and Aurora will be having dinner there and would love to meet everyone for drinks.

Transportation leaves from The Ritz at 5:15 pm (PLEASE BE AT THE LOBBY AT 5:00 PM)

The Ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm

Cocktail Hour: 7:00 - 8:00 pm

Dinner and Dancing: 8:00 - 12:00 am
